[Still] Really Pregnant.

cb 8Technically, my due date is still twelve days away (but who’s counting). But, I have had contractions on and off for a few weeks now. He finally flipped head down, AND has dropped quite a bit. The nursery is 99% ready, co-sleeper is put together, clothes/diapers/etc are all organized and ready to go.

Just need a baby.

How far along? Thirty-eight weeks and some change

Are you showing? Absolutely.

Gender: Baby BOY #2! 🙂

Total weight gain: Just over 20 pounds.

Maternity clothes: Leggings. All day erryday. Nine months pregnant in the summer was easy because summer dresses. However, winter means if I don’t feel like doing the yoga-pilates-hybrid that shaving my legs requires, it’s perfectly okay.

Stretch marks: A few little ones up near my ribs from my belly dropping.

Sleeping: Rough. I’m always exhausted but never sleep well. He’s soooo low. And I’ve had a lot of pelvic pain and “false” contractions the last few weeks.

Food Cravings: Sushi.

Anything making you sick or queasy? Everything, if I get too full.

Miss Anything? Sleep and wine. And sushi. And wine.

Movement: Um, yes. He tries to stretch out as though he has enough room to do so. He doesn’t.

Labor signs: Braxton Hicks. Pelvic pressure. Etc. But, for weeks. So, I’ll believe it when it happens.

Symptoms: Uncomfortable and tired. But overall, I feel okay!

Belly Button in or out: OUT.

Wedding rings on or off: On.

Happy or moody: All of the above.

Best moments this week: Asher wiggling like crazy when Aiden talks to my belly. Melts a momma’s heart!

Looking forward to: My last days with my Bubba before he’s no longer the baby!

Twenty-Four Weeks Pregnant

24

How far along? Twenty-four weeks and a few days.

Are you showing? Absolutely.

Gender: Baby BOY #2! 🙂

Total weight gain: 7 lbs

Maternity clothes: Oh yes. I live in my maternity leggings. Invest in some, you wont regret it.

Stretch marks: Just the pre-existing ones. Thanks, Aiden.

Sleeping: Rough. I’m always tired but never sleep well. He’s soooo low. And I’ve had a lot of pelvic pain and sciatic pain the last few weeks. Ouch.

Food Cravings: I’m just hungry. But nothing ever sounds good.

Anything making you sick or queasy? Meat. Asher is clearly a vegetarian.

Miss Anything? Sleep and wine. And sushi. And wine.

Movement: Strong kicks now! Loving watching my belly move!

Labor signs: Nope! But a ton of pressure sometimes and Braxton Hicks have arrived at the party.

Symptoms: Irritable and tired. Overall uncomfortable because nothing seems to fit right! Asher loves to sit on my sciatic nerve now. FYI. IT HURTS.

Belly Button in or out: OUT.

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or moody: All of the above.

Best moments this week: Watching my belly move! Seeing Asher on the ultrasound!

Looking forward to: MOVING! And finally being able to feel even the slightest bit prepared for this baby. Can’t wait.

We finally met with our new doctor last week. Everything seems to be lining up perfectly for my VBAC. Asher is head down now too, thank the Lord. Breech babies are uncomfortable at any stage! He’s still really low though, so I still have a lot of pressure. To the point where it feels like he’s going to just fall out sometimes. (I wish it were that easy!)

Here’s a bump shot for you:

bump

22 Weeks (& 21 too!)

I totally didn’t even do a bumpdate last week. That tells you how busy of a week it was. So here’s some updates and a bump picture! 🙂

How far along? Twenty-two weeks! And in shock that there are four weeks left in the second trimester. WHAT?!

Are you showing? Absolutely.

Gender: Baby BOY #2! 🙂

Maternity clothes: Oh yes. I live in my maternity leggings. Invest in some, you wont regret it.

Stretch marks: Just the pre-existing ones. Thanks, Aiden.

Nineteen Weeks and Counting.

Maternity clothes: Oh yes. Hair tie trick no longer working. I live in my maternity leggings. Invest in some, you wont regret it.

Stretch marks: Just the pre-existing ones. But my lower belly and the ladies are starting to get itchy. Coconut oil, for the win!

Sleeping: Rough. He’s soooo low and is currently using my bladder as a water bed. If I don’t pee right when I have to go, the pressure is overwhelming!

Food Cravings: MILK. And cinnamon toast crunch! Yummm. Excuse me while I refill my bowl…

Anything making you sick or queasy? Meat. Asher is clearly a vegetarian.

Miss Anything? Sleep and wine. Grape juice in a wine glass isn’t cutting it!

Gender: We’ll find out in nine days!! 🙂

Total weight gain: I have gained 0.4lbs. I’ll take it.

Maternity clothes: Oh yes.

Stretch marks: Just the pre-existing ones. But my lower belly is starting to get itchy. Coconut oil, for the win!

Sleeping: So-so.

Food Cravings: MILK. And chocolate!

Anything making you sick or queasy? Mostly gone! (Knock on wood.)

Miss Anything? Energy, Sleep, Wine, and Sushi.

Movement: More frequent flutters and a few actual jabs. Which are more like strong pokes at this point. Jellybean started jabbing at the laptop as I typed this!

Labor signs: Nope!

Symptoms: Light stretching/cramps, pure exhaustion, emotional, and the acne of a teenager. Oh, and heartburn has arrived with a vengeance.

Belly Button in or out: Still in, but weird and bumpy-ish. I don’t think it’ll hold on very long this time around.

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or moody: Happy for the most part! But also emotional.

Best moments this week: Feeling flutters more often! Seeing a healthy growing bean on the ultrasound!

Looking forward to: More energy. It’s starting to pick up finally!

We had an ultrasound this week while testing a new doctor, and Hubby swears he sees boy-parts. I don’t see any parts, boy or girl. Remember that episode of Friends when Rachel and Ross have their ultrasound? Remember Rachel’s reaction? Yep. 1 2I couldn’t even tell you for sure if that’s a butt shot. That’s how bad I am at deciphering this mess.

Our actual gender scan is NEXT FRIDAY! WHOOP. Be sure to follow me on instagram to know whether Jellybean is a he or a she before anyone else! 🙂

Fourteen Weeks Preggo!

14This is going to be quick and basic because I’m exhausted and have to be up at an ungodly hour tomorrow. I do have some more exciting posts coming over the next week. I swear!

How far along? Fourteen weeks!

Are you showing? Absolutely.

Gender: We’ll find out the first week of October! Drew and Aiden want a girl, I would like a girl since we obviously already have a boy, but I’ll be happy with healthy!

Total weight gain: Gained another pound back! Sitting at -2 for the moment. I’ll take it. I was +10 or 15 by this point with Aiden.

Maternity clothes: Oh yes. I’ve done the hair tie trick a few times though. No shame.

Stretch marks: Just the pre-existing ones.

Sleeping: So-so. But tired alllllll the time.

Food Cravings: Not really many particular ones. Although I did want french fries really badly today. Guess you could call it a craving. Oh, and lemon sweet tea! Yumm.

Anything making you sick or queasy? It’s finally easing up! Still have moments of nausea, but haven’t actually puked in a few weeks. (Knock on wood.)

Miss Anything? Energy, Sleep, Wine, and Sushi.

Movement: More frequent flutters and wiggles!

Labor signs: Nope!

Symptoms: Light stretching/cramps, pure exhaustion, slight nausea, soooooo emotional, and the acne of a teenager. Oh, and heartburn.

Belly Button in or out: Still in, but I don’t think it’ll hold on very long this time around.

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or moody: Happy for the most part! But also emotional.

Best moments this week: Feeling flutters more often!

Looking forward to: That second trimester burst of energy. It can come any day now. Really… any time would be great….?

Twelve Weeks (and one day) Pregnant!

test2
So, clearly I’ve basically taken August off from really blogging. BUT, September is already full of link-ups, guest posts, and a special series-feel free to email me with interest! Not to mention weekly pregnancy updates continuing. So I promise I’ll be back to my frequent bloggy-ness soon!

How far along? Twelve weeks

Are you showing? Yes, and it’s getting more difficult to hide it. The chub vs. pregnant debate is fizzling out.

Gender: We’ll find out the first week of October! Drew and Aiden want a girl, I would like a girl since we obviously already have a boy, but I’ll be happy either way!

Total weight gain: Gained a pound back! Sitting at -4 for the last few days-ish.

Maternity clothes: Yes. And just FYI, maternity leggings are the best invention ever. I practically live in them.

Stretch marks: Just the pre-existing ones.

Sleeping: Not so well. But tired alllllll the time.

Food Cravings: Lemonade, Sunny D, and salty foods.

Anything making you sick or queasy? It’s finally easing up! Still have moments of pure nausea, but few and far between! (Don’t tell Husband that he was right…)

Miss Anything? Energy, Sleep, Wine, and Sushi.

Movement: Flutters! Although that’s not really the best term for it. More like bubbles popping in my uterus. Forgot how weird, yet amazing that feeling is!

Labor signs: Nope!

Symptoms: Light stretching/cramps, pure exhaustion, slight nausea, soooooo emotional, and the acne of a teenager.

Belly Button in or out: Still in!

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or moody: Happy for the most part! But very easily brought to tears by absolutely nothing. Earlier today, I cried while reading HP. Cedric dying is just clearly too much for my hormones to handle. -sob-

Best moments this week: Turning twenty-four, feeling flutters that I knew for sure were human baby, and not food-gas baby.

Looking forward to: That second trimester burst of energy. It can come any day now. Really… any time would be great….?

Eleven Weeks Pregnant

IMG_1585
I have been a total bloggy-slacker the last few weeks. I have like six drafts saved that I’ve been working on, but honestly, this is the first time I’ve touched my computer since last Wednesday. This whole morning all day sickness thing is very new for me, and some days it takes every ounce of my energy to function at a bare minimum level, let alone do extra.

Hopefully I start feeling halfway human again in the next few weeks as Aiden heads back to school, and we get back into our usual routine.

How far along? Eleven weeks

Are you showing? Yes, and it’s getting more difficult to hide it. Still debatable to others whether I’m pregnant or just getting chubby.

Gender: We’ll find out the first week of October! Drew and Aiden want a girl, I would like a girl since we obviously already have a boy, but I’ll be happy either way!

Total weight gain: Still down from where I started.

Maternity clothes: Wore my maternity shorts the past few days. My normal shorts still fit, they’re just uncomfortable and squish my belly.

Stretch marks: Just the pre-existing ones.

Sleeping: Not so well. But tired alllllll the time.

Food Cravings: Lemonade, Sunny D, and Micasita. (Just the best Mexican restaurant in the world…or at least in NC. Haven’t found one in Raleigh yet that compares.)

Anything making you sick or queasy? Just oxygen. Husband thinks I seem to be getting better. Wife thinks Husband is nuts 😉

Miss Anything? Energy, Wine, and Sushi.

Movement: I could’ve sworn I felt flutters the other night! But it’s so early that I think I imagined it.

Labor signs: Nope!

Symptoms: Light stretching/cramps, pure exhaustion, morning (read: all dang day) sickness, soooooo emotional, and the acne of a teenager.

Belly Button in or out: Still in!

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or moody: Happy for the most part! But very easily brought to tears by absolutely nothing. Miss my Mommy a lot. (Typing that just made me tear up- I rest my case.)

Best moments this week: Spending the WHOLE day with Hubs on Saturday. We rarely get to do that anymore.

Looking forward to: Morning sickness easing up, and feeling some non-imagined flutters!

Here’s a belly shot! Some of it may still be bloat, but I’m going to pretend it’s baby. Or at least uterus. preg
