I’ve had a couple of people email me about my cheesecake recipe after I posted a photo of it on my instagram a few weeks ago. I have an old copy of one of my Grandmother’s recipes that I use as a guideline, but honestly I don’t follow it perfectly. I like to take her recipes and make them my own!
You will need:
-2 cups graham crackers (I used chocolate teddy grahams…yum!)
-1/3 cup butter, melted
-3-8oz packages of cream cheese
-1-14oz can sweetened condensed milk
-1/2 cup granulated sugar
-3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
-2 tbsp chocolate syrup
-2 tbsp caramel syrup
-1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
-3 large eggs
-1 tbsp vanilla extract
(Optional: 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans.)
1) Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Grease your 9″ pan.
2) Combine ground graham crackers and melted butter in cake pan. Press into bottom and 1″ up sides. (This is your crust.)
4) Remove one cup of filling & set aside. Melt semi-sweet chips until smooth and mix into reserved cup of filling.
5) Pour half of white filling into cake pan/crust, then pour all of the chocolate filling in, and then top with the remaining white filling. I like to swirl it so that the chocolate is slightly showing, but mostly hidden.
This recipe is as close as I could possibly get to writing down what I actually do. In reality, I often add things here and there. You could also add a little lime juice when mixing your filling and you’d have turtle cheesecake!
Shameless plug, as usual:
